Ryan is the manager of Campground Island. He loves the Bible and has anchored himself to it. Through the wide variety of experiences in his life, he has become an out of the box thinker and problem solver. He also loves the creative work of renovating. He loves reimagining buildings and layouts. Campground Island has offered a field of ideas to harvest!

Jessica is the heartbeat of her family and of the Island. Jess loves hospitality and bringing in all of the senses with the right look, music, scents, tastes and touch points. Enter our buildings to a home like atmosphere, music playing, a drink station with coffee and tea, and candles lit. Enjoy an assortment of craft materials and games. It is the warm and home like atmosphere that Jess loves providing. Not big amusement experiences, but the simple things that are so often overlooked. Ryan and Jess have 4 children. While her work on the Island is loved, her primary focus and passion is in raising and homeschooling these four kids and creating a productive household…

Lyla, Quinn, Emmitt, and Owen have played a big role in Campground Island. This adventure has been a great experience for them. They have been involved with everything from digging ditches to working in the ice cream shop. Lyla has mastered iced cherry scones and led some of our activities. Quinn sells worms from his worm farm. He is also involved in many business related things from interviews to store inventory. Emmitt mows sites for our monthly guests. Owen provides his dried apples. Together the boys provide our fire wood supply. They love even just being there and hanging out with guests!

Greg was born and raised in the mid-west, the very heartland of the United States. He gained a passion for the Lord and for music. He brought his passions together to spend the next 30 years as a pastor, leading worship in church. While retiring as Pastor, he still loves teaching piano and encouraging people in their walk with God. With grandkids now to pour into, Greg can now pass his passion for the Lord and for music onto his grandkids. But, before leaving Iowa, he found another love in his first year of college… his bride, Trich!

Trich, she raised 2 boys and worked hard in any way she could to both help provide for and create a good home for her family and for guests. Trich really loves hospitality and with that, creating unique experiences for people. A lot can be learned about hospitality from Trich. She loves playing games, especially when she’s able to team up with the ladies to beat the guys! Trich cares deeply about people, a loyal friend, and a dependable person.
