Ten acres in the middle of Conewago Creek, with a rec room for rainy days, a store for ice cream and coffee, and firewood waiting when you pull in.
The creek
Water all the way around
Conewago Creek wraps the whole island. Designated walking paths follow the bank, two dams make for great fishing and photos, and a waterfall spills over a stone ledge by site 19.

Swimming isn’t permitted, children must be directly supervised at the creek, and please stay clear of the waterfall. See it all on the site map.

Is there Wi-Fi at Campground Island?
Internet access is available on the island, and guests report cell service strong enough to work from a hotspot.
Is there a camp store?
Yes. The Island Boutique Store sells ice cream, coffee and espresso, pastries, desserts and island swag. It is open Wednesday–Thursday 5–8 pm and Friday–Saturday 3–8 pm in June through August, Friday–Saturday 3–8 pm in spring and fall, and for coffee and pastries Saturday–Sunday 8 am–noon.
Can I buy firewood and ice on site?
Yes. Firewood is $10 a bucket when you pull onto the island, and ice is $3 a bag by the bathhouse.
Where can I fish on the island?
Anywhere off the bridge, along the walking trail on the far side of the bridge, down the trail behind sites 1–19 to the waterfall near site 19, and at the dam on the tent side. Pennsylvania fishing licenses apply.
