Island rules
So everyone can relax
General
- All nightly and weekly bookings, check-in and check-out are done online.
- Check-in is 2 pm; check-out is 12 pm.
- Quiet hours are 10 pm to 8 am. Please turn off outdoor camper lights too.
- Bag and tie all trash before it goes in the dumpster.
- Everyone, on bikes, e-bikes, scooters or feet, keeps to 5 mph. No golf carts.
- No fireworks. Registered sex offenders are not permitted.
- No open display of firearms or anything that could be mistaken for one; possession follows state and federal law.
Campsites & common areas
- Visitors are limited to 4 people and 1 vehicle per site, and must leave by quiet hours.
- No smoking or public drunkenness in common areas.
- One additional tent per site, subject to occupancy. Rates are per family, per site.
- Keep fires in the fire ring, and please don’t move the ring without asking.
- Don’t leave nails or screws in the trees, or unburned trash in the fire pit.
- Dump waste water only at the dump station or your site hookup.
- No flags, signs or clothing with political, vulgar or abusive messages. On the island, let’s just relax.
Parking
- Two vehicles per site, as long as they stay completely off the road and other sites.
- Overflow parking is available.
Pets
- Up to three pets per site, never left unattended.
- Pets are leashed whenever they’re outside the camper or tent, including on your own site.
- Noisy or aggressive dogs may need to leave the island. Please pick up after your pets.
The creek
- No swimming.
- Children must be directly supervised at the creek.
- Stay away from the waterfall; it is very dangerous.
- Fishing follows Pennsylvania licensing rules.
Weather & flooding
- Not every flash-flood warning in the area affects the island; we watch and warn of flooding risk, and guests should watch the weather too.
- The cancellation policy applies unless a FEMA-issued flood watch is in effect.
- In a hurricane or a major storm caused by one, we evacuate the island as a precaution.
- We encourage the third-party weather guarantee offered when you book.
Guests are responsible for sharing these rules with their visitors, and for the cost of any damage to campground property. Campground Island isn’t responsible for accidents or personal property.
